Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company (LCMC) and the Lepanto Local Staff Union (LLSU) formally signed their 15th Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) at the Baguio Country Club, Baguio City.

The negotiations set a new benchmark by finishing in under a month or after just two meetings. This proves that when both sides bring their priorities to the table in good faith, transparency, and mutual respect, agreement follows naturally.

Opening the ceremony, VP for HR and Administration Mr. Knestor Jose Y. Godino highlighted the foundation of productivity and trust that made the swift negotiations possible. He noted that the delegation moved at the "speed of trust," emphasizing that when management and labor sit down in good faith, they find common ground that ensures company stability while securing fair treatment, dignity, and a better future for workers and their families.

While President and Chief Operating Officer Mr. Bryan Spencer U. Yap delivered a message of unity to the workforce and management, underscoring that labor and management are not on opposite sides, but working together toward a shared future. As he noted, “Es-esa Tako”. Likewise, he expressed deep gratitude to the union leaders for representing the workforce with courage and heart, emphasizing that the agreement reflects safety, security, and a renewed commitment to caring for employees as the company's greatest resource.

The signing was witnessed by the company’s management negotiating team, key government officials and labor representatives: DOLE-CAR Regional Director Mr. Jesus Elpidio B. Atal Jr., NCMB-CAR Regional Branch Director Atty. Ronda T. Doctor-Malimban, LLSU President Mr. Ariel F. Candelario, LLSU Legal Counsel Atty. Frenzel Ayong, GM & Administrative Group Manager Mr. Rolando D. Ursua, Finance Services Group Manager Ms. Charisma Pascua, HR Head Mr. Nelson L. Baguya II, and Legal Officer Atty. Philip Ray Ameling.

With the 15th CBA now officially in effect, both LCMC management and LLSU reaffirm their commitment to executing every provision with total integrity, paving the way for sustained industrial peace, operational excellence, and shared prosperity for all employees and their families.
